Question: Does the Superior Court have a procedure for expedited processing of time sensitive cases? If so, would that procedure be applicable to a foreclosure of the right to redeem a tax lien?
Answer: The Superior Court does have a procedure for expedited processing. In most cases you can ask the assigned Judge to expedite a matter. Typically, such a request must be supported by good cause. However, in regard to tax liens, the rules for redemption are established by statute and cannot be accelerated, unless the statute specifically provides for such an acceleartion.
